Hey everyone. It's nice to hear from all of you. Well thank you for all of your emails and prayers and support. This week was really fun, exciting and busy. We had a baptism this week!!!!! It was Sister Vildat that got baptized. She is our investigator that is 7 and a half months pregnant. She was a good sport and really brave during her baptism. Her husband is a member but less active for many years. We hope that she can reactivate him, also her mother and father-in-law are the ward mission leaders!!! It was really great to have that baptism and see that miracle and to be able to baptize someone my last change in the mission, even though I'm expecting more, hahaha.
Well this week I got the package from Grandma Tuttle. I got the good news that Amber was married. Also, this week we taught piano lessons to the members and investigators and we had a big ward activity called a Noche de Tortas. or ¨"Cake Night!" it was fun and we had a lot of cake to eat.
Today we had a great Pday. There is a large fair here in Chimbote because this week is a catholic holiday week in Chimbote, Saint Peter's Day!!!!!! I bought a lot of souvenirs mom!!!!! I bought what you asked me for a few weeks ago so you can plan on that. Also, I bought some things for the family and also for the grandparents. Now I only need to buy things for friends. Well I love every one of you and I'm so glad to have this gospel in my life and know the blessings that I receive every day and the blessings the Lord will give me as long as I'm obedient.
Until next week,

Hi mom, I have lots to say, first I recieved  the letter from Grandma about my great great
grandparents. That was a great story grandma from you.
Well I may not be a father in the real world but  I have 2 sons in the mission. and the good news, that I got today, is that  I'm  a grandpa again!!!!!!!!!! haha Elder Bulmini, the missionary that I trained from Uruguay is training again a new missionary from Chile. I just can't get away from the Chileans in the end of my mission haha.
Well everything is going really well here we found a lot of new people this week and
Elder Olivares and I are pretty much inviting the entire nation to be baptized...
jk but we are inviting a lot to baptism. I really would like to have another baptism before finishing my mission, preferably the last week of my mission.
Well a missionary's mom came to pick him up last week. Elder Qualls,
they are from West Jordan and we talked for like 30 minutes  and she seems so familar but we couldn't figure out where from.
Right now we are trying to help 3 people be baptized in these next few weeks. Their
names are Johnny, Vildat, and Alex, please pray for them so that they can feel the spirit and overcome the obstacles in their lives that keep them from being baptized.
I'm loving these last few weeks of the
mission and I like it because I feel a lot more relaxed and focused on
the most important things. I've made the goal to write people back home
that I haven't been able to write in a long time or all of my mission.
Well I love you all and hope this week goes well.
Sincerely, Elder Wilkinson

Hey everyone it's good to hear from you. This week went alright.
The people we were expecting to go to church didn't go and are struggling with their progress but we have found other people that are really great and one of them went to church this week. He is an 18 year old kid named Johnny. Well this ward is really progressing a lot now. We have 5 ward missionaries that we're working with, We have activities planned until Christmas this year in the missionary work
. My companion and I talked in church this Sunday and we'll now talk every 2nd Sunday of the month. I gave the last talk and talked about missionary work. I shared the scripture about how small and simple things bring to pass great things. I shared with them a few of the small and simple things that happened in my life before the mission that helped me to make the decision to serve a mission, also the small and simple things we can do as missionaries and as members to have miracles and change the lives of people. I also shared about the restoration of the gospel. It was a great and a marvelous work, but everything that was restored was through small experiences and our Heavenly Father restored small truths that cause great changes in our lives. For example, praying to God in the name of the Son, that knowledge was restored. God and Jesus Christ are 2 separate beings, the sacrament, a prophet, priesthood, family history, baptism by immersion, the gift of the Holy Ghost, every little thing was restored!!!!!!!!!!!! I sure am glad for all the little things God does for me and all the little things that you guys do for me as well. This church is true and has all of the gospel in it. Be grateful for all of the little and precious things that we have and tell everyone you know about these things as well because maybe they don't know or maybe they have just forgotten because they're so small.
I share these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

ZONE LEADER TRAINING
JUNE 2012

Tuesday, June 5, 2012

A missionary's purpose is to bring souls to Christ.

2 Nephi 31:17-21

17 Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and abaptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost.

18 And then are ye in this astrait and narrow bpath which leads to
eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which cwitnesses of the dFatherand the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive.
19 And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow apath, I would ask if all is bdone? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken cfaith in him, drelying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to esave.
20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a asteadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of bhope, and a clove of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and dendure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eeternal life.
21 And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the away; and there is bnone other way nor cname given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the ddoctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of theeFather, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is fone God, without end. Amen.

Hey everyone I don't have much time to write.
Everything is going great. I'm here with my new companion,  another stinkin Chileno!!!!  haha jk my companions from Chile have been really good.
Well I thought I'd send you some pictures for once. So here they are. I just got news here that now in this part of the world, maybe the whole world,. young men can serve missions when they are only 18 years old!!!!! That's crazy!!!! That will help the people here serve more missions.
Well I love you all. The Lord continues to bless me here and help me become the missionary that he needs. He's helped me a lot this week in the work because I only have 4 weeks here and I had to lead the area not knowing everyone yet.
Well, Elder Marquez had to leave because they chose a new assistant and had to make a few changes with all of the zone leaders so it would work out ok.
Please pray for the Hermana Vildat mom. Her husband is a less active member. She is 7 months pregnant and has gone to church 2 times. Her fecha is for the 16 of June. We hope she'll make it.
 Love you all.
Until next week,
Elder Wilkinson
